Geometric Fringe Cardigan DIY

I'm a sucker for patterns, it's true. This cardigan is bold enough to be a statement piece but simple enough to compliment just about any outfit nicely. Take a look:

Supplies: two yards of jersey fabric, fabric paint, sewing machine
Pantry Supplies: Scissors, paint brush.

Begin by folding the fabric in half and cut a slit down the front middle fold. Sew the sides of the cardigan starting from the bottom, roughly1 ft in each side, and stopping 8 inches from the top. From there, sew outwards, creating the sleeves. You'll want to measure on your own to know the width and length depending on your size. The look is suppose to be a loose fit which helps to give it a little leniency in size. // Next, paint a pretty pattern along the hem. You'll want to paint as high as you'd like the fringe to be. My print was seven inches long. // Once the paint is dry, fringe the entire hem up to the paint line.

You can see this technique used with a smaller project from last week here.
