Pumpkin Spice Body Scrub // Clean Living

Yeah yeah yeah, we all love a good dose of pumpkin spice this time of year. But did you know that pumpkin is actually good for your skin? Pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, which softens and moisturizes which can help with dry skin as well as control acne breakouts. This scrub not only exfoliates your skin, but gives it an extra boost of moisturizer which is great during the transition of seasons.

Here's how to make it:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup pumpkin puree
3/4 cup coconut oil
1 cup packed tightly brown sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ginger
1/8 tsp cloves

Begin by melting the coconut oil over a stove top on low. While the oil is melting, mix all of the dry ingredients together in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, combine the pumpkin puree and coconut oil. Next, slowly pour the liquid mix into the dry mix.

Store in a sealed container. Shelf life 1-2 months.

  1. This looks good enough to eat! Such a lovely idea for fall.
Perhaps trading some raw sugar for part of the brown sugar would give a but more scrub, then you'd have a few different sized granules :) Just a thought xo
